February Demonstration: Multiple Concurrent Demonstrations
February's meeting was held at the North Deer Park High School and hosted by club member David Berry, Industrial Arts teacher at the school.  Students were invited to participate in the meeting and club members demonstrated different turning techniques.

Bill Berry demonstrated how to turn a natural edge bowl.

Stacy Grange demonstrated how to make her fantastic pens.

Bill Tilson held the crowd's interest by turning one of his perfect boxes.

Jim Keller showed a NDPHS student how to remove wood from the inside of a bowl blank.

Bill Lewis showed interested students how to make tops.

By Reed showed his skill at turning a bowl.

Marty Kaminsky demonstrated how to turn a platter.

Faces In the Crowd and Other Pictures

Kendall Westbrook's toothpick holder received a lot of interest and even more questions about how he made it.

There's always time to relax and enjoy friendships at GCWA meetings, as well as a good cup of coffee, too!

Bill Metzger asks Dennis Weber "How much time did this take?!"

Inspecting well turner items can be a real learning experience.

Freely sharing our talents with each other is a defining hallmark of woodturners.

Here are several of the many turnings that were presented for consideration.  On any other occasion, they might have been recognized for awards, but the competition was hot and heavy at February's meeting.
