Faces in the Crowd

Despite Houston's heat (it's been HOT!), members took to their shops and
turned many fine items for July's Show & Tell. |

Not only were the pieces varied and of their usual high
quality, many different woods were used this month. (Someone must
have gone to the AAW Symposium!) |

Members enjoy inspecting other's work, gleaning
ideas that eventually work their way back to the judging tables
in succeeding months. |

Chatting it up is a favorite pass time while waiting for the
judges' decisions. |

July's meeting was held at First Presbyterian Church,
5300 Main Street, Houston, TX. In appreciation
for the use of its facilities,
Ed Peine, Jim Keller and Steve LeGrue presented the church with three turnings
(two of which are pictured at right) as a
thank you. |
