Judges
Shawn Pachlhofer and Lane Bradford were February's Show & Tell judges.

Faces in the Crowd -- Part 1 (more "Faces" below)

A new meeting place--the Sosa Community Center!

A picture of the entrance.

New meeting place, or not, some things never change--like the friendly greeting visitors receive form Ed Peine, left.

Another thing that doesn't change, regardless of the meeting place, is the hot pot of coffee waiting for members when they arrive...and donuts too!

It's also true that there will be an announcement of two from current GCWA president, Reggie Keith.

A favorite activity at GCWA meetings is hanging around the Show & Tell tables and checking out the "stuff."

More "stuff."

The Library and librarian, Tom Enloe (r) are also fixtures at every meeting...

...as is the raffle. (check out the head piece on Georgene behind the table).

Just chumming around is fun too.

Demonstration: Wood Identification by Derek Powers

Derek Powers knows wood.  He grew up in East Texas and all East Texans know their wood!

Derek shared his knowledge with members at February's meeting. Several of the pictures in this section do a good job of depicting the inside of the Sosa Community Center

Another overview of the inside of the Sosa Community Center.

Derek also helped members understand where in Texas wood species grow.

We didn't catch the question, but someone responded1

So did Greg Gonsalves.
