The demonstrator for the June club meeting has not yet been determined, so if you have a project you believe would be of interest to the club, please contact George K. and volunteer.

While the demonstrator has not been determined, the President’s Challenge has.  The June President’s Challenge will be a small hollow form with a lid and finial on top.  Think Cindy Drozda and you’ll be in the right ballpark.

Dennis Ford will join us in July for a special demonstration on turning a Binary Vessel.

What’s that? Think spinning rectangular block of wood.  Think multi axes turning. No combine those thoughts! There you have it. This is an  AMAZING piece and will be an awesome demo. But then again, when is a Dennis Ford demo anything less? None that I’ve ever seen!

Upcoming Hands On Workshop (HOW) Classes

GCWA provides one of the best series of hands-on woodturning classes of any club in the nation.  These classes are provided as a benefit to club members only, and have a very nominal fee to simply cover costs.  Starting in 2017, HOW class fees for standard classes will be $45 per day.

Instructors can range from club members to regional and national turners that the club brings has brought in for club demonstrations as well.  Many classes are still in the planning stages for 2017, and an updated Events List of HOW classes will be published as these dates become available.

See below for registration information.

Note:  If a class is full and you want into that class please sign up to be on the wait list.  There are often times when folks on the wait list get into a class that was full when they attempted to register.
